AccuSpectrum
Technology is used in StarLux Pulsed Light handpieces to
filter light in the optimal bands of the spectrum for specific
treatments. Laser and Infrared Handpieces which employ Fractional
Technology are also available. Developed and patented by Palomar,
Fractional Technology delivers light as an array of narrow beams,
to stimulate quicker dermal remodeling while protecting the epidermis.
StarLux produces the Highest Total Energy of
any light-based aesthetic system currently in use, so it can deliver
aesthetic treatments with unparalleled efficacy. High energy delivery
is enhanced by Palomar’s patented Photon Recycling process,
which uses mirrors within the StarLux handpiece to recapture the
energy scattered during treatment and send it back to the target.
Therefore, fewer treatments are needed to achieve the desired result.
Even though StarLux delivers enormous power, patient discomfort
is not a problem due to Palomar’s innovative technologies. Smooth
Pulse Technology allows
StarLux to deliver light in one smooth, gentle pulse, rather than
the train of multiple power spikes (which increases the risk of skin
damage) that many other technologies use. Smooth Pulse Delivery prevents
a rapid rise in epidermal temperature for far more comfortable treatments.
Meanwhile, Active
Contact Cooling chills the tip of the StarLux handpiece, which
is in contact with the skin, throughout treatment, to provide maximum
safety and comfort.
