Physician Support Expanded

Las Vegas, NV (PRWeb) November 1, 2007 - Doctors interested in pursuing aesthetic training now have a new tool to help them succeed in the highly competitive aesthetic market. The International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM) has just negotiated to include a comprehensive 16-DVD training program for attendees to take home after attending the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium.

"The value of these DVDs is amazing," says Jeff Russell, IAPAM Executive Director. "The physicians now have the DVD's to refer back to and can use them to train future staff.”

According to the International Medical Spa Association there are between 2,000 and 2,500 medical spas nationwide, up from 450 in 2004. The IAPAM wanted to include an effective tool that will compliment the two-day Aesthetic Medicine Symposium, and provide a long lasting benefit for its attendees.

"Our goal is to ensure our members are successful in the competitive aesthetic medicine industry, and by including this comprehensive DVD training program, we’ve added an essential tool to their arsenal," says Russell.

The video training program, entitled Building a Successful Cosmetic Medical Business, includes 16 DVDs, a leader guide, and five student workbooks. Cindy Graf, DVD course instructor, sees a need to help doctors feel more comfortable with educating their staff, and wants to help them master the consultation process.

"Our cosmetic medical business grows on the ability to sell in a retail environment," says Graf. "This is something many physicians aren't comfortable with."

The cost of the two-day symposium is $1,995, but the additional DVD and workbook package has a retail value of $3,200, making it an incredible addition to the symposium.

The two-day symposium, hosted by IAPAM, provides aesthetic medicine training for physicians, combining clinical, hands-on training with strategies for integrating these procedures with a medical practice. Attendees are eligible to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. The symposium also covers business and marketing training as well, and has sold out seven times to date.

The International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine is a voluntary association of physicians and supporters that sets standards for the aesthetic medical profession. The goal of the association is to offer education, ethical standards, credentialing, and member benefits. IAPAM membership is open to licensed medical doctors (MDs) and doctors of osteopathic medicine (DOs).
